Hello again,

In my last blog post I mentioned a product called Raw Fit from the Garden of Life Company ($31.99 through Vitacost link provided). This  is one of the products that I use to lose weight and keep it off. I believe this comes in two flavors, I happen to like the Marley Coffee over the original. This is a high protein, organic powder that I mix with a few other things and drink for lunch.

Here is what goes in my shaker:

1 scoop of Raw Fit Marley Coffee
1 scoop of Super Seed Beyond Fiber(Garden of Life)
2 tbsp Lilly of the Desert organic aloe vera juice
1 tbsp fish oil with lemon cod liver oil with lemon
Water filled to the brim of shaker

I find that the mixture of all of the above components creates a great tasting, filling meal. I am not left hungry because I just had a good protein filled snack at 10:00 a.m., two hours before my lunch at 12:00, and before I get hungry again, I will have another protein and fiber filled snack at 2:00 p.m.

I will write a more detailed description of my daily meals in another post in the near future.

The best thing that anyone can do for themself is to kickstart their metabolism. The best way to do this is to eat more quality protein and above all else, WORK OUT! A good workout for calorie busting is a good hour of straight cardiovascular exercise. Do what you can, but make it count!

I will talk more about exercise routines in the near future as well.

  1. Well, just how would someone who might have severe physical limitations, which would not allow for "a good workout," be able to accomplish any weight reduction?

    I used to walk quite briskly for 1 1/2 hours, daily, other than being very productive around the yard, and most repairs done to my 3-storey, 3-family house, prior to my present condition, going on 3 years, which has now had me gain two sizes!

    I am horrified, and quite anxious to see that such does not progress! Otherwise, I shall be one of these "baleias" you see, more often than not! I surely do not like to look at myself in the mirror, anymore!

    I pray, you can come up with a great solution, Madame Trainer! Please keep in mind, I live on a very fixed income!

  2. The best advice that I have for anyone on a budget who needs to save money and see results is simple: drink more water. I know that isn't the "miracle pill" that we all want, but it is what God designed for our bodies in order to stay healthy.

    The first change anyone should make to their dietary plan is to drink at the very least 8 oz. of water every hour. I fill a 24 oz. water bottle with water and try to drink and refill it every 2 hours. You can also add several natural flavors to it if you don't like the taste of water.

    Another advantage to water is that it is easily accessible and cheap!

    I guarantee noticeable results within one week. Any feeling of sluggishness will fade away, hunger will subside, and you will feel more energized.
